Getting to the start
Bongeunsa Station (Line 9) Exit 1 puts you at the temple gate. You can also walk through COEX from Samseong Station on Line 2.

Bongeunsa Temple
Samseong / COEX · 50mA thousand-year-old temple sitting in the middle of glass towers. That contrast makes it the best photo spot in Gangnam. Free.

Cross Bongeunsa-ro and go down to level B1 of COEX Mall. The underground passage is faster than the crossing above, and far more comfortable in summer or winter.
2Starfield Library
Samseong / COEX · 40mThirteen-metre bookshelves in the middle of a shopping mall. Anyone can walk in, sit and read, free. Underground, so weather doesn't matter.

From COEX, take Line 2 one stop from Samseong to Seolleung, then 5 minutes from Exit 8. In good weather it's also a 20-minute walk.
3Seonjeongneung Royal Tombs
Seolleung · 50mJoseon royal tombs surrounded by office towers, and a UNESCO site. At lunchtime it turns into the local office crowd's walking path.
