Getting to the start

Hongik University Station (Line 2) Exit 9 opens onto the pedestrian street. The airport express and the Gyeongui-Jungang line stop here too, so you can come straight from Incheon without changing.

The route

  1. 1

    Hongdae Street

    Hongdae · 1h

A pedestrian street of buskers and independent shops. It comes alive in the evening rather than the afternoon, and gets very crowded at weekends.

  2. Walk15m

Head north along the street and come out near Exit 3 of the station — the park starts there. It's a single path, so you can't get lost.

    2

    Gyeongui Line Forest Park

    Yeonnam-dong · 1h

A long, narrow park built over a disused railway. It runs on from Hongdae, and locals sprawl on the grass — hence the nickname 'Yeontral Park'.
