Getting to the start
Hongik University Station (Line 2) Exit 9 opens onto the pedestrian street. The airport express and the Gyeongui-Jungang line stop here too, so you can come straight from Incheon without changing.
The route
- 1
Hongdae Street
Hongdae · 1hA pedestrian street of buskers and independent shops. It comes alive in the evening rather than the afternoon, and gets very crowded at weekends.
- Walk15m
Head north along the street and come out near Exit 3 of the station — the park starts there. It's a single path, so you can't get lost.
2Gyeongui Line Forest Park
Yeonnam-dong · 1hA long, narrow park built over a disused railway. It runs on from Hongdae, and locals sprawl on the grass — hence the nickname 'Yeontral Park'.
