Day One Korea
Full dayGangseo, Seoul

Aviation Museum & Seoul Botanic Park

Starts in a round building packed with real aircraft and ends in a glass conservatory. Both have indoor halls, so weather matters less — and the airport line reaches both straight from Incheon.

Getting to the start

Gimpo Airport Station

김포공항

At Gimpo Airport Station (Lines 5 and 9 and the airport line), come out on the first floor of the domestic terminal and follow the signs for the National Aviation Museum toward the second car park — about 400m. A shuttle also runs from Gate 4 on that floor.

The route

  1. 1

    National Aviation Museum of Korea

    Gimpo Airport · 2h

A circular building with whole aircraft parked inside it. The cockpit and air-traffic-control sessions have limited places, so sign up as soon as you arrive. It is next to the domestic terminal at Gimpo Airport, so the subway takes you straight there.

Walk back to Gimpo Airport Station and take Line 9 two stops to Magongnaru. It is a 5 min walk from Exit 3 to the park entrance. The airport line also covers it in one stop.

    2

    Seoul Botanic Park

    Magok · 2h 30m

Part park, part botanical garden. The outdoor grounds are free; only the glass conservatory is ticketed. Being indoors, the conservatory holds up on a rainy day or in deep winter.
