Getting to the start
Namwon Station
남원역
KTX from Yongsan to Namwon, then a city bus or taxi to the garden — it is about 3km from the station, so a taxi is the easy option. Namwon is an hour by bus from Jeonju, which makes it a natural half-day add-on to a Jeonju trip.

Gwanghalluwon Garden
Namwon · 1h 30mThe Joseon-era pavilion and garden known as the setting of the Chunhyang story. Three islands sit in the pond and an arched stone bridge crosses to them; the layout was conceived as the Milky Way brought down to earth. You may climb into the pavilion and sit, and an hour is enough for the full circuit. Cherry trees ring the pond in spring and lotus fills it in summer.
