Public transport here is genuinely awkward. Allow extra time.

Boseong is not easy to reach by public transport. Either take a Mugunghwa train from Yongsan to Boseong, or an intercity bus from Gwangju or Suncheon and change again for the tea fields. Realistically it works best bolted onto a Suncheon or Yeosu trip. The stairs to the viewpoint are steep, so wear proper shoes.

    Tea bushes planted along the contours of a hillside, so the slope reads as green stripes winding upward. That is the picture Boseong is known for. From the entrance an avenue of cedars leads to a stair, and only from the viewpoint at the top does the pattern resolve. The steps are steep. The field is green year round, but the colour is sharpest around May when the new leaf comes.
