From Busan Station take Metro Line 1, change to Line 2 at Seomyeon, and get off at Gwangan; leave by exit 3 and walk about ten minutes toward the sea. This is an evening place rather than a daytime one, so it works best tacked onto the end of another day.

The sand is shorter than Haeundae's, but Gwangan Bridge spans the view head-on, which is why this beach is known for its night. The bridge lights come on after sunset and the seating runs the length of the sand. The lanes behind are solid cafes and raw-fish restaurants, so it fills up after dark rather than before. On drone light show nights it is very crowded.
