Day One Korea
Half dayYeongdeungpo, Seoul

Mullae & Yeouido Half-Day

Studios and murals among working metal shops, then out to the river. The neighbourhood has not been tidied up for visitors, so there is barely any signage.

Getting to the start

Mullae Station

문래

710m

10 min walk from Mullae Station (Line 2) Exit 7. From the Mullae Park intersection, head toward the post office and the lanes begin. On Sundays the workshops are closed — quieter lanes, but none of the working atmosphere.

The route

  1. 1

    Mullae Art Village

    Mullae / Yeongdeungpo · 1h 30m

A grid of metalworking shops that artists moved into, so studios and galleries sit between working machine shops. On weekdays you hear steel being cut on the same lane as the murals. It is not a groomed tourist area — signage is sparse, and on Sundays the workshops are shut and the lanes go quiet.

  2. Subway20m

One stop on Line 2 from Mullae to Yeongdeungpo-gu Office, then change to Line 5 for two stops to Yeouinaru. Exit 2 opens onto the river park.

    2

    Yeouido Hangang Park

    Yeouido · 1h 30m

The biggest and busiest of the riverside parks. Cherry blossoms along Yunjung-ro in spring, and a night market on summer weekends.
